Vacancies (AAO Generalist)

Total: 350 posts (category-wise breakup in notification). Specialist AAO & Assistant Engineer posts are notified separately.

Pay & Benefits (AAO)

Basic Pay: ₹88,635/- per month; Approx. Gross (A-Class city): ~₹1,26,000/- p.m. plus benefits (pension, gratuity, medical, group insurance, loans, allowances, etc.).

Eligibility (as on 01 August 2025)

Age21 to 30 years (born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2004, both dates inclusive); upper-age relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Confirmed LIC employees as per rules.
EducationAAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution. (Result must be declared on or before 01.08.2025.)

Exam Pattern — Prelims (Phase I)

Online objective test with sectional timing. No negative marking. English is qualifying and not counted for merit.

Selection Process & Final Merit

  1. Prelims — Qualifying; used for shortlisting to Mains (category-wise ratio).
  2. Mains — Objective (300) + Descriptive English (qualifying).
  3. Interview — Shortlisted based on Mains score.
  4. Final Merit = Mains (300) + Interview; Prelims marks are not added. Medical exam before appointment.

Application Fee / Intimation Charges

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹85 + transaction charges + GST
  • All others: ₹700 + transaction charges + GST

Probation & Bond

  • Probation: 1 year (extendable up to 2 years)
  • Service Bond: Undertaking to serve minimum 4 years; liquidated damages ₹5,00,000 on breach
