- Caste is determined by father’s caste, not husband’s.
- Caste and permanent residence certificates are valid for life.
- Temporary residence and income certificates are valid for 1 year.
- Original certificates are returned after verification.
- For state services, old caste certificates can be reused with a self-declaration form.

- Go to serviceonline.bihar.gov.in
- Register if you’re a new user.
- Select the department’s service and log in.
- Click on “Apply for Service”.
- Fill the form, upload photo via Webcam/File, and save draft.
- Verify via Aadhaar OTP or upload valid ID proof.
- Attach annexures (if required), review and submit the application.
- Download or print the acknowledgment receipt.

- Choose “RTPS/Others” under Services.
- Enter your Application Reference Number and Name.
- Click “Download Certificate” to get your file.
